You've got to get the girl back.

I have to find a way to get ME back.  I've fallen on the weigh station of love and happiness over the last nine months, and I really need to start putting myself back together.  Back together completely.  And I had been doing so damn good.  so here we are, the beginning of July.  Time to set some damn goals.

Goals for July 2013.
  • early morning gym workouts 4 -5 days a week.
  •  2-3 evenings spend an hour running/walking at the track either by myself, or with friends.
  • lift, 2-3 days a week.  most likely Tuesdays and Thursdays.   It would do well to plan my running on lifting days, that way I get cardio in there too.
  • drink enough  water throughout the day to remain hydrated.
  • read.  start and finish 2 books.
  • lose 5 lbs.
  • send more time in the sun, less time worrying about men and boys.
  • write.  more.  and elegantly.
  • eat clean (er) with ONE cheat meal during the week.
If anyone is interested in joining me for any or all of these, let me know :)  I may throw in some Jillian Michael's the devil videos a couple times a week too :D

July Goals 2012 : Review

- lose 5 pounds.
Nope.

- go to the gym 15 times.

Nope.  10.

- run, on average, three days a week.

Nope. I ran a lot the first half of the month until I pulled a calf muscle, and then re-pulled it in the 5k.  I just started back yesterday.

- have my first sizing of the maid-of-honor dress for my sister's wedding.

Nope.  Planning on going tomorrow over my lunch break.

- find shoes for the dress for my sister's wedding.

WIN!  I've decided to wear my black dressy sandals.

- read.  more.

I'll call this a win.  I managed to start and finish one book.

- write.  more.

I have been.  No one will ever see it, though.

- photograph.  more.

WIN!  Lots and lots.  I want to do more.

- maintain semi-clean apartment, stay on top of dishes, and laundry.

WIN!  Atleast better than the past.  I really need to get rid of a bunch of shit.

- go through clothes.  keep, donate, toss.

Nope.

- go see a movie at the theater.

WIN!  Aiden and I saw two.  Spiderman (which was actually really good, even though I really loved Tobey Maguire), and The Dark Knight Rises.

- kiss.  more.

*blushes*  oh yes I did!

- spend more evenings outside, pack sandwiches and spend them in the sun at the park, or at the pool, or in the back yard of a friend.

We spent an average of two nights a week at the pool at T's apartment this last month.

- improve my 5k run time for The Color Run (#2!) on the 14th.

Nope.  However, with a recently pulled calf muscle, and re-pulling it about 50 feet from the finish, I finished only 2 minutes slower.

- cook.  more.

WIN!  It hasn't been anything new or interesting, but it has been cooking :)

- regain my footing.

I have some things that I need to say to some people.  These things, however, shouldn't be said.  Not everyone is able to handle the complete and absolute truth from someone.  In order for me to move forward, I am letting go of my anger, my hurt, my sorrow, and even a little bit of my broken heart.  I am throwing more love at the people in my life who can take it, and dish it back.  I AM happy.  I AM moving forward, and I AM so excited to see what this next month brings.

July Goals - Review

- go the gym 15 times.
I went 14 times.

- lose 5 lbs.
I lost 6.

- start and finish TWO books.
Started and finished Catching Fire, started and am halfway through Mockingjay.

- go for evening walks at the track at least three days a week.
other than one week where it was over 110 degree heat index all week, I managed to do three times a week.  Last week I only did two.  I've been making time to visit my boyfriend and the one thing that could be cut without any real significant upheaval was the walking.

- do the 30 day shred once a week.
Monumental FAIL.  Didn't do this once.

- breathe deeply.
There have been a couple of rough patches where my patience has been tested, but I have managed to power through it.

- write, then throw away/save to a file on my computer some strongly worded letters to a few people in which I will NEVER send.  This is the important part.  NEVER SEND!
Wrote them in my journal, tore them out, tore them up, and threw them away.  Very therapeutic, and step one in trying to forgive the past.

- call my sister more often.
I am going to count this one as a win.  Didn't talk to her as often as I would have liked, but talked to her more than usual.

- try to cook one new thing each week, and document.
Half win.  I did manage to cook something new each week, but I didn't document. Food doesn't stay around me intact very often.
week 1: rice and black beans fried rice.
week 2: pesto chicken stuffed shells.
week 3: quinoa and black beans and tomatoes
week 4: Brazilian lemonade (which was REALLY good with some coconut rum mixed into it), and tortellini pasta salad.

I apologize for being late on goal posting this month, I'll hopefully get this month's goals up by tomorrow.

xoxo

July Goals 2011

July 2011

- go the gym 15 times.  I am currently in the lead after two weeks of weigh ins of my gym's biggest loser.  I'm 5 pounds ahead of my closest competition.

- lose 5 lbs.  A little over a pound a week.  Gotta keep on, keeping on.

- start and finish TWO books.

- go for evening walks at the track at least three days a week.

- do the 30 day shred once a week.

- breathe deeply.  I have been more stressed than I like to admit lately and though the majority of it is my own doing and I DO have control over it, it does make it easier to just stop, and breathe.

- write, then throw away/save to a file on my computer some strongly worded letters to a few people in which I will NEVER send.  This is the important part.  NEVER SEND!

- call my sister more often.

- try to cook one new thing each week, and document.
